Rush Creek Regional Trail

Meeting location: We meet at Oak Grove Park in Brooklyn Park, roughly about the midpoint of the trail. Oak Grove Park, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445

Getting there: From Hwy 100 or I-94/694, turn northwest onto Brooklyn Blvd, or from Hwy 169 (north of I-694) turn east onto Brooklyn Blvd. Follow Brooklyn Blvd to Zane Ave and turn north. Follow Zane Ave to the park entrance . Follow Zane Ave 0.9 miles North of Hwy 610 to 103rd Ave North and turn left. The park entrance is on the right at the first bend in the road.the park entrance . The park entrance is very long– just keep going until you get to the parking lot and shelters.

There are three major trailheads for the park. Parking is now free in Three Rivers Park District parks.

Main Elm Creek Park entrance and office

This entrance also serves as a trailhead for the Northern Corridor trail

Highway 169 north past I94/694

Turn left on Highway 81

Continue 1.1 mile beyond highway 30 (93rd Ave)

Turn right on Territorial Road and follow signs into park.

Oak Grove Park (Brooklyn Park city park, free)

Take Highway 169 north to 93rd Avenue North. Go east about 1 1/2 miles to Zane Avenue (County Road 14) and turn north. Oak Grove Park is about a mile north and on the left hand side of the road, just past 101st Avenue North.

Length: 5.6 miles plus 1 mile of trail in Elm Creek Park to get to the trailhead. There is an additional 2 miles of trail along the east bank of the Mississippi that connect to a path over the Mississippi via the Highway 610 bridge.

Other nearby trails: On the south side of the park, there is a new trail that follows West River Road south for a few miles, then continues near city streets to connect to Northern Mississippi Regional Park. There are also connections to city and Three Rivers Park District trails in Brooklyn Park.
