MINNESOTA INLINE SKATE CLUB
PRIVACY STATEMENT

Information Collection and Use

Minnesota Inline Skate Club is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Minnesota Inline Skate Club collects information from our users at several different points on our website.

Online Signup/Ordering
At some point in the distant future, we may offer an online club signup form. If this happens, we will request information from the user on our order form. Here a user would be asked to provide contact information (like name and address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information would be used for billing purposes and to fill customer's orders.  If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user. At this point, though, we don't envision an online club signup form, mainly because it's a lot of work.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user.  Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site.  Other web sites may create cookies to personalize a user's browsing experience. The Minnesota Inline Skate Club web site is currently using one cookie on a limited basis as a test to track where visitors are coming to this site. This information is not being shared with other parties.

Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track users' movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.  IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. This log information is created automatically by most Web server software, such as Apache, so it's not like I've reconfigured it to spy on anyone.

Sharing
We do not share any E-mail addresses or any other personally identifying information with other companies or groups. No spamming is allowed.

Links
This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we [Minnesota Inline Skate Club] are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites.  We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information.  This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Web site.

Surveys
From time-to-time our site requests information from users via surveys. (Well, we did once, anyway.) Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and E-mail address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to answer questions that the user asks in the survey. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site and the overall operation of the club.

Security
The Minnesota Inline Skate Club web site does not request or store sensitive information, such as credit card numbers or social security numbers. This saves us all a lot of time and worry over security. As a general matter, we recommend not giving your credit card number out through E-mail, through web sites that do not employ secure server technology, or to most telemarketers.

Choice/Opt-out
Users who no longer wish to receive club newsletters may opt-out of receiving these communications by emailing us at info@skateminnesota.org

Users of our site are always notified when their information is being collected by any outside parties. We do this so our users can make an informed choice as to whether they should proceed with services that require an outside party, or not.

Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our Homepage so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
