M.I.S.C. board meeting, November 13, 2001, 6:30 pm, Karl & Gina's
home
Present: Marilyn Ohnstad, Bruce Peterson, Todd Murray, Gina Hammes,
Bill Fuhrmann, Gerry Vangen, Randy Simmons
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm.
The treasurer's report was reviewed. Marilyn will discuss questions
with Karen.
The volunteer positions were identified and assigned as follows:
- Treasurer: Karen Buswell
- Webmaster: Todd Murray
- Membership: Bruce Peterson
- Sponsorship: (candidate Greg Kelcher)
- Skate Coordinator: Marilyn Ohnstad
- Hotline: Larry Lunde
- Skaters Rights & Trails: Todd Murray
- MILES: Bill Fuhrmann
- Newsletter: Bruce Peterson
- Publicity: open
- Special Events Coordinators: Gerry Vangen, Gina Hammes
Marilyn will follow up with Greg Kelcher and Larry Lunde regarding their
interest in the positions.
Todd will add a privacy policy notation to the website.
Gerry gave an update on options for club activities at the Rollerdome.
Greeting people as they enter, handing out club information and 2-for-1 discount
cards, and hosting wheel rotation clinics were approved. Gerry will
draft a proposal and present to the board.
The membership year was discussed. It was decided to make it coincide
with the outdoor season rather than the calendar year. The 2002 membership
year will begin April 1 and end March 31, 2003. The 2001 membership
year will extend to March 31, 2002. Memberships issued from October
thru March will be for the 2002 year. The Rollerdome staff will be
notified to assist in their validating of the club membership discount.
There was discussion of the word club in our name. No change will be
made.
The next meeting is December 11 at 6:30 pm at Karl & Gina's home.
Agenda items will include discussing club goals for 2002, reviewing position
profiles, and setting timeframes for next year's events. Full agenda
will be sent later.
