M.I.S.C. board meeting, February 12, 6:30 pm, Karl & Gina's home

Marilyn distributed the proposed outdoor schedule.  Additional updates were made regarding the trail cleaning days.  This schedule would be used as handouts for the wheel rotation nights at the Rollerdome.  The Monday fun skate locations were asked about.  These plans were in the works.  (Webmaster's note: The locations were sent out in an attached document.  They are now posted on the schedule section of the web site.)

Grampa Craig's 75th birthday on June 19 was discussed.  It was agreed that the club will do something special for him on the Monday skate on June 17, provided that's convenient with him.

Todd reported the details regarding his conversations about trail cleaning arrangements for the Cedar Lake Trail and Big Rivers Trail.  We scheduled a monthly cleaning day from April through October.

A memorial skate for Mike Barrett (a former member) is being planned for August 8 at 6:30 pm at Lake Harriet.  The club will include this on their outdoor schedule and help promote attendance.

Membership in the Minnesota Parks and Trails Council was discussed.  It was decided to find out more information and answers to questions before proceeding further.

Greg gave an update regarding club sponsorship.  He presented a sample letter and listed prospective contacts.  We agreed to consider the Rollerdome as a sponsor, as it gives us discounts and publicity.

Gerry reported on the special events plans.  The first wheel rotation day at the dome was a great success and the second one was coming up along with the Member Reunion day at the dome.

Bruce reported the 2001 membership was 132.  Memberships for 2002 are being accepted now.

Marilyn suggested getting a P.O. box for the club.  We've been using Bruce's mail box for several years.  This was approved and Marilyn will make the arrangements.

Bruce suggested newsletter target dates of end of March, early to mid June, end of August, and mid to end of October.

The next meeting is March 12 at 6:30 pm at Karl & Gina's home.
Agenda items will include:
- sponsorship update
- t-shirt selection and design
- outdoor events planning
