M.I.S.C. board meeting, January 8, 2002, 6:30 pm, Karl & Gina's home
Our two main discussion topics were to set the 2002 goals and begin planning
our outdoor schedule. We were successful with both.
Our 2002 goals were set as follows:
1) Build our club membership
2) Host/Assist a skating event
3) Increase club visibility (via MS SUN75, parades, etc)
4) Adopt a trail
5) Build our volunteer base
Gerry worked with the Rollerdome staff and sponsors to secure two dates when
the club can offer free wheel rotations to the skaters. The dates are
Sunday January 27 and Wednesday February 20.
Gerry also arranged a skate day to encourage all current and last year's
members to come to the dome. The date for this is Sunday February 17.
A dome discount will be offered and club information will be available to
attendees.
We discussed the outdoor schedule and circulated a draft of the schedule.
(Editor's note: The schedule was attached to the original E-mail I
received, but since it is a draft I won't be posting it.)
The next meeting is February 12 at 6:30 pm at Karl & Gina's home.
